The need
Next Lab is the hub of knowledge and experimentation that covers everything related to the incorporation of new technological tools in the animation, video games and VR sector. They came to us with the intention of evolving its image that they had been using until that moment, creating an identity with a more defined personality, more profesional and with coherence through all its elements.
The proposal
Analyzing its brand, we saw that its highlighting strength was the constant innovation in all senses. Next Lab is always looking forward to improving its sector at all levels, from researching cutting-edge technologies, to finding new investors, to training students to enter the job market. This lead us to use innovation as the main concept of the brand. We understood innovation as a constantly moving search with an eye on the future to change the present.
This forward movement is constantly present throughout the whole brand: the way the logo lifts, the line’s forward movement… Each of every element in the brand allows us to represent Next Lab’s main values. Details as the grid (a Super Mega Drive reference) gives it a techy mood giving us the opportunity to play with volumes and giving movement to the set. Typography, Moderat by Tightype, gives professional but nice vibes, reflecting their near and generous attitude.
The solution
All the elements together are a reflection of the brand's values. A professional brand that focuses on innovation in a sector from all perspectives. A professional, approachable, generous brand that allows you to experiment and that is in constant movement and search for what will come next.
The brand
The brand had to be very manageable to be present in both digital and physical elements, such as all the workshop and events. This adaptability is reflected in the variety of pieces that have been developed, from the web, the animation style, or the applications for events (flyers, landyards, posters, photocalls).
The web
Our final boss was designing and then programming the whole website. It was quite of a challenge because of the different needs among the products, specially in Generation. The main landing is Next Lab's page, and it functions simply as a showcase for all of the productos (finance, generation, I+d+i...)
Generation is a landing that has different states depending on what's happening. First we have a "Workshop" status, where people can read about generation and decide whether they want to participate. After the workshop is closed, participants and teachers start to appear in the landing. And the final status is the event, where people can purchase tickets and check the program. Finance works as an event where you can purchase the tickets, check the program and the different speakers. And finally I+D+I works as a research and development news blog.
The goal
All the elements together are a reflection of the brand's values. A professional brand that focuses on innovation in a sector from all perspectives. A professional, approachable, generous brand that allows you to experiment and that is in constant movement and search for what will come next.
