The last banana
If we run out of bananas, would it be enough for humankind to have them as NFTs?

Our proposal for the newest Fairtrade campaign is about to raise awareness of the fragility of crops and promote measures to protect fair trade and crops.
We began by imagining a dystopian future in which bananas were extinct and only the last banana on earth remained. To develop this concept, we used the MidJourney tool to generate images showing this apocalyptic future.
The campaign is built around a video action on social networks that, together with a call to action at COP27, will raise awareness from the digital world towards the tangible reality and the way we feed ourselves.
The idea of creating an NFT is funny, controversial and raises attention with new audiences. Our proposal is to create a new type of NFT:
Non-fungible banana, NFB.
This new type of NFT is a fake, but it allows us to play with the image and the crypto discourse while we can link its value with the discourse we want to convey, such as fair trade, climate conditions and environmentally friendly cultivation.
Why NFB? Because it’s much cooler than the good ol’ NFT. And cleaner. Oh, by the way, we don’t believe in that “I’m the only owner in the whole entire universe, ha ha ha.” Nah, the NFB belongs to everyone who wants to get it, so you just have to visit the virtual gallery at Spatial.io and well… just download it. Because climate change concerns us all, isn’t it?
